Life Outside

Ok, another day starting with outa bed at 5:50AM, just like home. There are no tests scheduled for me, no new pokes, pick line starts or any other intended pain exercises. Very cool day, a hospital day of dreams. Renee will be here at the allowed visitor time of 8:00AM.

This is the first day our son won’t be here as he needed to fly home and actually work on his own life, go figure. Truthfully he has gone way above and beyond helping!

We heard Stanfords version of air life outside one of our mega windows and out pops Renee’s and my iPhone completely photo logging its fly by and careful but expedient landing. Wow, huge & loud while landing two floors up and just outside of our window! Did I say WOW! Pictures say a thousand words x 2 iPhones so that says a lot. Fun, a sight to behold then came reality, two hospital workers rolling out its cargo, a man or woman all bundled up. No way to tell rather dead or alive but we understood one thing for sure, this is someone’s mom or dad, son or daughter. Maybe a wife or husband! Tragic regardless, a huge loss to all involved!

This is how I will get my new heart, someone must die….
